If you were to ask why Church of the Redeemer is Reformed, the simplest answer is that we believe the Reformed faith is Biblical. Modern evangelicalism often holds only to the bare essentials. Reformed Christianity looks to the whole counsel of God on matters of faith and life with a confession rooted in Scripture. We believe doctrine matters and that everything we teach must align with God’s Word. We humbly and joyfully affirm that to be Reformed is to be God centered and not man centered. We stand in awe of the triune God and His great power; we treasure and take comfort in the doctrines of His grace. God’s sovereignty extends over all and He alone is worthy of our worship. For it is in Christ that we have everlasting communion and peace with God. We have been saved by His grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone for God’s glory alone – may we enjoy Him forever.
