Throughout the book of Proverbs, there is a constant call of two opposing voices: Folly and Wisdom.  Throughout the laboratory of life, we are all challenged to make a choice between the two.

No where is that clearer than in our text today.

But what’s amazing about our text is that Solomon teaches us the end result of each choice before we choose.  That’s right…one of the values of wisdom is to see the end from the beginning.

In the sermon today, look for the following three points:

The Need for Family
The Call of Folly
The Call of Wisdom

See if you can answer these questions:

1. What is the challenge given to parents and children?

2. What does Folly promise and offer?  How does Folly entice the young?  What are the results of Folly?

3. What does Wisdom promise and offer?  The voice of Wisdom is the voice of who?
