Church of the Redeemer’s Mercy Ministry offers free car care and budget coaching to single women through Car Care Saturdays. When possible, we schedule Car Care Saturday once a quarter and announce the particular date several weeks in advance. Car repair and budget coaching is by appointment only.
If you are a single woman (i.e. divorced, widowed, separated, or never married) with financial needs that prevent you from the regular upkeep of your car, you may qualify for our service. This service is not for those who can readily pay. Participants are considered once the Car Care Ministry team receives a completed application.
Free car care for single women in need
Church of the Redeemer’s Mercy Ministry is pleased to offer free car care and budget coaching to single women through a program called Car Care Saturday. Even as God has commanded his disciples to “love one another” (John 13:34-35), he has also made it clear that he would have us focus this ministry on single women and their children (James 1:27), especially those in the church, but also to those outside the church (Galatians 6:10).
We desire to help these women stretch the money they have. By keeping her car in good running condition, it remains available for reliable work transportation and family needs. By providing budget coaching, the money she has is stretched further.
Since our first Car Care Saturday in October 2002, we have helped over 56 women and have given away more than 15 cars! November 8, 2008, marked our eighteenth Car Care Saturday, and we are looking forward to many more. When possible, we schedule Car Care Saturdays once a quarter and announce the particular date several weeks in advance. Car repair and financial coaching is available by appointment only.
