Dear Church Family:

Greetings in the name of Jesus!  Friends, our Elders met via conference call, and I have several updates to share with you all…

Pastor/Elder/Deacon/Staff Care: First of all, please know that your Pastors, Elders, Deacons, and Staff are praying for each of you and we stand ready to serve you.  Call on us if you have a need.

Following CDC: Know that our elders have decided to follow the CDC’s guidelines, which (at this point) is to not have meetings of over 10 people in our church building.  The elders also encourage you to follow the CDC’s guidelines in your homes as that probably affects small group meetings and Bible studies.

Using Technology for Fellowship and Study: With that in mind, the Elders want to encourage you to still strive to have fellowship and community using technology.  We encourage your life groups, Bible studies, men’s and women’s groups, etc. to meet using technological tools such as Google Hangouts, Skype, Facetime, or other digital means to keep the fellowship/study/encouragement going.  If you need assistance in using these types of technology, Michael Hough stands ready to help you.  You can reach him at mhough@redeemerweb.com.

Reaching Out Via Technology: Please know our staff also plans to reach out to you via technological means during the week.  Just today, I posted my first “Wednesday Word from Pastor Adam” on Facebook.  Be sure to check it out on Redeemer’s Facebook page.  This will be a weekly video for encouragement and devotion each Wednesday.  Pastor Darol, Hunter, and other leaders will also be doing the same type of thing using different means of technology, so be on the look-out for more things to come.

Worship: We will definitely be live-streaming the next several Sunday morning worship services at 10:30 a.m. as our sanctuary remains closed to groups over 10 people.  This Sunday, March 22, I will continue our series on “March”ing from Earth to Eternity with a sermon on the doctrine of “Hell.”  March 29, I’ll be preaching on “Heaven.”  April 5, we will have a Palm Sunday Sermon, and on April 12, I will be preaching an Easter Sermon.  Please join us as we worship the Lord through the reading of Scripture, prayer, singing, confessing, giving, and the preaching of God’s Word.

Special Services: We have to cancel our Easter Sunrise Service at Chestnut Square Park due to Indian Trail regulations and our commitment to follow the CDC’s guidelines; however, WE WILL STILL HAVE OUR TENEBRAE SERVICE on Good Friday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m.  Again, this will be live-streamed to Facebook.  Hope you can join us for that!

Giving: We do want to encourage everyone to continue to be faithful in their giving.  You can give online at our website: www.redeemerweb.com.  Just click “Online Giving.”  Or, you can mail in your giving to Church of the Redeemer, 1001 Redeemer Way, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

May the Lord strengthen you by His grace!

In Christ,

Pastor Adam Mumpower

Senior Pastor
